Buyers of tank trucks must strictly follow the tank truck's operating procedures for operation and conduct proper maintenance to achieve the optimal use effect of the tank truck. The specific requirements are as follows:
- Check whether the rubber strips at the rear of the vehicle are in contact with the ground and whether all equipment is in normal operating condition.
- When loading or unloading oil, insert the grounding rod into a moist underground area to prevent fires caused by static electricity.
- Pay close attention to the sewage discharge situation to ensure the normal operation of the sewage discharge system.
The tank truck is equipped with three oil inlets. During refueling, fill the oil into the three fuel tanks (a space accounting for 5% of the total capacity must be reserved as a margin). When draining oil, rotate the ball valve by 90° to discharge the oil into the containers of other gas stations.
- The use and maintenance of automobile chassis and engine components shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions for various types of Class II automobile chassis in the Driving Manual; the use and maintenance of self-priming pumps shall comply with the pump instructions; and the use and maintenance of flowmeters shall be conducted in accordance with the flowmeter instructions.
- Since semi-trailer tank trucks adopt a semi-load-bearing structure, when the train turns, attention must be paid to the impact of centripetal force, and the vehicle must slow down and drive carefully.
- To ensure the cleanliness of the fuel tank, it is necessary to clean the fuel tank and oil delivery system regularly. After using the oil delivery hose, install connector caps on both ends in a timely manner; after using the oil pump, install connector caps at the inlet and outlet at both ends of the oil circuit system to ensure the internal cleanliness of the pipeline.
- The medium flowing through the ball valve shall not be too dirty, so as to avoid scratching the sealing seat and shortening the service life of the ball valve. Each ball valve shall not be in a semi-open state for a long time, otherwise the sealing seat may be deformed. During the driving of the vehicle, the handles of all ball valves must be in the closed state.
- The filter screen of the water inlet pump shall be disassembled and cleaned frequently to prevent oil residues from blocking the filter screen and affecting the oil delivery flow. The filter screen in front of the instrument shall be kept intact to prevent impurities from entering the instrument and damaging the flowmeter.
- The breather valve shall be kept clean and in good condition, and the spring inside it shall not be replaced randomly to avoid affecting the oil discharge effect. If the breather valve is blocked, it may cause deformation of the fuel tank, posing a safety hazard.
- To prevent fire accidents of the tank truck, when the exhaust pipe and muffler are faulty, the pipeline has oil leakage, or the grounding wire is damaged or broken, operation is strictly prohibited; do not use metal objects to hit the components on the tank truck to avoid generating sparks and causing dangers. Fire-fighting equipment must be equipped on the tank truck at all times.
- When the tank truck is driving with oil, the rubber strips at the rear of the vehicle must remain grounded. When refueling or unloading oil, be sure to insert the grounding rod into a moist area.
- When working inside a fuel tank filled with oil, personnel must be arranged outside the fuel tank for supervision.
- The dome light in the cab is connected to the small light of the main vehicle. When driving at night, to ensure safety and facilitate avoiding other vehicles, this dome light must be turned on.
- Operators of tank trucks must be familiar with the usage methods and maintenance requirements of fire extinguishers, and inspect and maintain the fire extinguishers regularly in accordance with the user manual.
- When the ambient temperature is below 0°C, if there is water in the pipeline and self-priming pump, the water must be drained through the drain plug of the pump body to prevent the water from freezing and damaging the valve body and pump body.
- If the fuel tank often freezes, it is strictly forbidden to thaw it by baking with fire. Hot water or steam can be used to melt the ice layer, or the vehicle can be driven into a greenhouse for thawing.
- When refueling or unloading oil, the tank truck shall not be moved to prevent pipeline damage and oil leakage caused by vehicle movement, which may lead to safety accidents.
- When opening the large cover of the fuel tank, handle it gently and place it carefully to avoid deformation of the connection part. During the operation, the large cover must be pressed tightly on the sealing ring at the tank mouth to ensure the tank mouth is tightly sealed.
